WTF is Up With Coronavirus Testing in the U.S.?

As severely affected countries are considering lifting "shelter-in-place" restrictions due to COVID-19, many are left wondering why the USA lacks adequate testing. Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, and other countries got ahead of the rest to test at a massive scale. According to a range of health care providers, health experts, and private labs, a prerequisite for ending "social distancing" and get the economy rolling once again wide scale testing must be in place.
