GM, Chicago & Oakland: Fight Back Makes a Come Back

On today's episode, we discuss the recent Chicago teacher strike after the General Motor strike has ended. We look at how the strikes are uncovered as the global strikes are being censored in the mainstream media. We examine the pitfalls of strikes, how they are quelled by backroom leadership and baited to settle for less. But we also acknowledge the cause and rise of these strikes alongside other demonstrations around the world. The is a growing resentment from the working class against austerity measures, inequality and state control. Nicaragua: More Fake Socialism Producing Real Fascism

On today’s episode we have our returning guest, Kenny Zepeda, come on the show sharing an update and deeper context of Central America. We specifically delve into Nicaragua, Venezuela, and a little bit of Cuba as we look at interesting twists that are happening in these so-called “socialists” countries. We notice some key differences in how the USA is treating the “Troika of Tyranny”, as former United States National Security Advisor John R. Bolton coined it when he was outlining United States foreign policy towards those nations. Previous What’s Left? Episodes On Northern Syria Pullout On Venezuela What’s Left? What's REALLY Behind the US Pullout of Northern Syria

President Trump has ordered US troops to pullout out of Northern Syria abandoning their allies, the Kurds. Turkey has launched an aerial and ground assault immediately afterward. The Trump administration has faced widespread criticism from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers for abandoning the stateless Kurds who had helped the U.S. fight ISIS. On today's show we delve into what most people aren't talking about from both the Left and the Right.potential strikes such as Uber/Lyft drivers and Kaiser workers.  Thumbnail image from: https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/124882/us-pullout-syria-maybe-maybe-not/ Additional Links: Interview with Mike Pompeo Previous What’s Left? What's Left About Listening to the Right?

On today's episode we decided to take it slow and share Eduardo's personal political journey and how he has evolved over time. He examines the issues of race, the environment, immigration, guns, but most importantly how those issues are in the greater systemic context of capitalism when he listens to people. He had a recent self-imposed LISTENING tour in the state of Florida. A state largely seen as a winner-take-all voting state for Republicans, but is a proportional voting state for Democrats. He spoke to different folks from very conservative to Trump supporters. However, he had an especially profound change in listening to his childhood longtime friend Jake, whom we had on the show over a year ago. Previous What’s Left?
